Sherri is an Australian primary teacher who holds a Bachelor of Education, from the University of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. She initially worked as a Relief Teacher in Regional and Rural schools in Victoria. In 2015 she decided to move to the United Arab Emirates. Her intention was to stay for only 2 years however, she is just about to complete her 4th year teaching lower primary at the Victoria International School of Sharjah.

Working at an international school has allowed Sherri to continue to develop her teaching skills alongside (and teach) a range of people from a diverse range of nationalities, languages and cultures. She is passionate about girls having access to the opportunities   and skills that team sports provide and has been an assistant coach for girls’ football, netball and basketball teams.

Sherri is an obsessive traveller who has visited more than 20 countries on almost every continent. She enjoys the experience of getting lost in a new place and exploring how the locals live. In her free time, she loves to cook, cheer on her favourite sports teams and be outside enjoying the natural environment.

Sherri is very excited to be starting a new adventure at KIS and is looking forward to discovering more about Kazakhstan.
