Rory Hall holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Human Biology from Oxford Brookes University and a Primary Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from London South Bank University, as well as a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELT).
After being a primary school classroom teacher in London for two years, Rory decided to move to Thailand to teach English as an Additional Language (EAL). He thought he would be there for eighteen months but stayed for nine years! During that time he taught in one Thai government school and two British international schools, where he managed the EAL departments. He loved living in Thailand, especially for the food, biodiversity and massages.
Rory is a keen practitioner of martial arts, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, and he has taught various martial arts to children. He is also interested in history, visual arts, meditation and languages. He can speak Thai and is now learning Russian.
Rory is excited to start his new adventure at KIS, to explore the steppes and mountains, and to study the history and nature of Kazakhstan.
