Katrina holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Fine Art, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and has recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Inclusive Education - Research Policy and Practice. With five and a half years’ teaching experience in early years, primary and middle years program, she definitely has a versatile approach! She looks forward to being part of the KIS Early Years team.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Katrina has taught in international schools based in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Myanmar. She has a love of travel and education, and by combining the two she encourages various teaching strategies for a diverse and cultured learning environment.

In her spare time Katrina enjoys yoga, cycling, creating mixed art and photography. Using her interests and experience she would like to introduce activities such as mixed media art, photography, and eco club, as well as physical education activities such as netball, yoga, swimming and running. In addition to after-school activities Katrina has organised events such as parent workshops, international week, art week and a whole school ‘Big Draw’ project. She has exhibited work in the ‘Bottlenose’ exhibition at Bunbury Art Gallery. Having previously lived in Aktobe, Katrina developed great fondness for Kazakhstan and is delighted to be returning.
