Gulmira Zholdybayeva was born in Kazakhstan and has lived in Almaty for 26 years. Having graduated from the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages, where she studied English and German, she began her teaching career.
Gulmira has always had a passion for learning English, and her dream was to work at an international school. In 2017 her dream came true and she began working at Kazakhstan International School. Gulmira has just completed her first year at KIS, teaching Kazakh Cultural Studies to both primary and middle school students.
Next year Gulmira will take on the role of Teaching Assistant and she’s looking forward to this new challenge! In her free time Gulmira enjoys hiking, sport and singing, and she sings in the school’s staff band.
