It is with great excitement that Clare is moving to Kazakhstan International School to teach English. She first experienced working abroad when she spent a life-changing year volunteering in a children’s home in South Africa. Since then, she has been passionate about working with young people, and eager to immerse herself in new cultures. After Clare graduated from the University of Warwick, her teaching career began. She was a participant in the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, which is a graduate scheme that seeks to place high-achieving graduates into challenging schools. Clare chose this pathway into teaching because she wanted to help address educational disadvantage. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Head of Year, and she also worked in a specialised team to engage the local community in one of the most socially deprived areas of London. During her first three years of teaching full time, Clare achieved her Masters degree in Educational Leadership from University College London.
