Chris is a PE teacher from Australia who is excited to come to Almaty and experience a new culture as part of the international community of KIS. Chris holds a Masters in Science (strength and conditioning) from Edith Cowan University and completed formal teacher training at Edith Cowan University in 2018. He has 4 years of experience as a PE teacher and sports coach at schools in Australia and the UK. Chris believes strongly in physical education for all and the importance of creating a positive environment for students while teaching how to be a good community member within the PE classroom and beyond.

Chris has extensive experience as a strength and conditioning/football coach most recently coaching u13 national premier league squad while running the strength and conditioning program for the u18 national premier league squad. Chris previously was Technical director for a National Premier League Club where he designed and implemented a curriculum from 5yrs old to 18yrs. Chris has previously held positions with Perth Glory ( sport scientist), Oxford United (academy coach) and Arsenal FC (South London elite talent).

Chris is excited to help the children at KIS discover and develop their love for physical activity. Chris is looking forward to spending time around Almaty exploring the amazing outdoors. He is eager for the new school year and meeting all the KIS community.
