KIS was founded in 1999 and we have been busy growing, developing, and learning since then.

KIS is one of only two international schools in Almaty authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) preschool through grade 5. KIS is adding a grade 7 class and introducing a middle school program for grades 6 and 7 for 2012 – 2013.

Currently, KIS offers programs for preschoolers (3 and 4-year-olds) and reception (5-year-olds) at our KIS Early Years Campus at Edelweiss.
In addition to being an authorized IB PYP school, KIS is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), an international school accrediting body.  

KIS provides early childhood and primary education, and we do it better than anyone else.

The KIS campus is situated away from the busy downtown Almaty area – quietly set back from busy streets within a quiet neighborhood. Our facilities feature a newly updated library and resources, and Smartboard technology in KIS classrooms.
